Quickbird

De Quickbird satelliet werd in 2001 gelanceerd. Veel van de hoge resolutiefoto's in GoogleEarth zijn afkomstig van Quickbird (behalve voor Nederland, waar een Luchtfoto wordt gebruikt)

Quickbird maakt opnamen in 4 Multi-Spectraal banden en een PAN met hoge resolutie. Door PAN-sharpening worden kleurenbeelden gemaakt met 60 tot 100cm resolutie.
